Colenso BBDO has been producing world-class creative work for iconic local and global brands since 1969.

Today our client list includes Vodafone, Air New Zealand, Yellow, V, Mainland, Anchor, Tip Top, TVNZ, DB, Burger King, and Fisher & Paykel.

We believe the most effective thing we can give our clients is great creative work. Everyone at Colenso has the same job – Make The Work Great – and it’s that obsessive focus on The Work that distinguishes us.

Despite being a boutique Auckland brand shop, we’re recognised as the most creative and most effective agency in New Zealand.

Awarded more for our creativity than any agency across the past decade, we won 61 creative awards in 2009, for 22 campaigns for 15 clients including all of our biggest.

And after winning 19 local and international effectiveness awards in 2009, more than any agency in New Zealand’s history, we were named Effectiveness Agency of the Year at the New Zealand Effies.

Our success has been sustained over the long term. We were the highest ranked agency of the 2000’s according to Campaign Brief, who named us NZ Agency of the Decade.

These days, our focus is on progressive creative work that creates conversation around our clients’ brands. We were named Australasian Digital Agency of the Year by B&T magazine in 2008, and the Yellow Treehouse was the first campaign in the BBDO global network to win an Integrated Lion at Cannes, a coveted award reserved for the world's most innovative creative thinking.

With brands we’ve built being rolled out internationally and our work now running in several global markets, we aspire to be one of the world’s great agencies that just happens to be based in Auckland.
